LOUIS COUNTY HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND THE HOUSING REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF DULUTH, MINNESOTA, WHEREBY THE CITY WILL PROVIDE $200,000 IN REPLACEMENT FUNDING FOR THE GATEWAY PROJECT.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an amendment, substantially in the form of that attached hereto as Exhibit A, to the Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Program Grant Agreement ("Agreement") with the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of Duluth, Minnesota ("HRA"), providing that an amount of up to $580,000 may be used as replacement funding under the agreement, payable from Fund 262- CDBG.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a Funding Agreement, substantially in the form of that attached hereto as Exhibit B, with the HRA and St. Louis County Housing and Redevelopment Authority ("County"), pursuant to which the HRA and the County agree to contribute $280,262 and $100,000, respectively, to the Gateway Project as replacement funds, payable into Fund 262-CDBG, and the City agrees to contribute $200,000 in Community Development Block Grant funds to the Gateway Project as replacement funds, payable from Fund 262-CDBG, said funds to be reimbursed in the event and to the extent that HUD provides funding for the Gateway Project under a Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Program Grant Agreement with the City.
