RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY FIRE MARSHAL DIVISION TO CONDUCT PUBLIC SCHOOL CODE INSPECTIONS.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into an agreement between the State of Minnesota Commissioner of Public Safety on behalf of the State fire marshal, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, to contract with the City of Duluth fire department to perform routine inspections of public school facilities used for educational purposes within the City of Duluth.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to continue a long-standing agreement between the State of Minnesota and the City of Duluth whereby the city fire marshal performs code compliance verification inspection of all public school facilities located in the municipality no less than once during the terms of this three-year agreement.
