RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING LEASE AGREEMENT WITH SYDNEY JOHNSON FOR RESIDENTIAL DWELLING UNIT LOCATED WITHIN THE DULUTH HEIGHTS COMMUNITY CLUB.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are authorized to enter into a lease agreement with Sydney Johnson, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit 1, for the residential dwelling unit located within the Duluth Heights Community Club. Rent payments shall be deposited into Fund 110-121-1222-4622 (general fund, public administration, facilities management, rent of buildings).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a lease agreement with Sydney Johnson for the residential dwelling unit located within the Duluth Heights Community Club located at 33 W. Mulberry Street.
The lease is month-to-month effective July 1, 2017. Rent is $700.00 per month, with at least $100.00 to be paid in cash. The lessee is eligible for up to $600.00 in rent reduction per month by providing on-site maintenance duties and related services as further described in the lease agreement. Lessee’s on-site services will be recorded on a monthly work log, which is submitted to the city and verified by the Parks Maintenance Supervisor or his or her designee.
The terms of this agreement closely follow those for similar agreements for rental apartments at Chester Park and Wheeler Athletic Complex.
