RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to contract with I-State Truck Center, Inc. for the purchase of three (3) Freightliner 108SD cabs and chassis in the amount of $253,600.20, payable as follows:

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the purchase of three 2018 Freightliner cabs and chassis at a total cost, including applicable taxes, title and registration fees, of $84,533.40 per unit. The units will be outfitted for snow removal and sanding operations with refurbished bodies as approved by Resolution 17-0399R on May 22, 2017.
This purchase is the second phase of a two-phase purchase as outlined in the attached Exhibit A.
A 2014-2015 Fleet study found that City vehicle maintenance costs are reduced when units are traded in, repurposed, or auctioned when reaching twelve (12) years of age. The following three vehicles will be replaced by the 2018 units:
