CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an amendment, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with TKDA for additional engineering services for the Stewart Creek Bridge and Clyde Connector Trail restoration projects, for an increased total not to exceed $14,389 payable as follows:

$14,389 452-030-5530; HANDHTAX-1528-01; (Tourism & Recreational Projects; Finance; Improvements Other than Buildings; Half & Half Tax Projects, Clyde Connector / Stewart Bridge).

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment with TKDA for additional engineering services including design, preparation of bid and construction documents, bid assistance, and construction observation/administration as needed, for the Stewart Creek Bridge and Clyde Connector Trail restoration projects for an additional amount of $14,389 and a new total contract not to exceed $76,889.

The Stewart Creek Bridge component of the project will stabilize the former DWP railroad bridge across Stewart Creek and repurpose it to serve as a bridge for the DWP multi-use recreational trail. The adjacent Clyde Connector Trail component of the project reestablishes uphill/downhill recreational trail access between the Munger Trail, the DWP Trail, and Skyline Parkway for a variety of users.

The City was awarded two grants for the actual construction and restoration work on this project. The grants include a total City match of $350,000 from the Half & Half Tourism Tax.
