Body

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, substantially in the form of the attached document A, with the state of Minnesota department of transportation and the north east emergency communications board for the operation of an 800 MHz county/regional integrated public safety radio communication subsystem (“ARMER”).

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement between the City of Duluth, the State of Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and the North East Emergency Communications Board for the operation of an 800 MHz county/regional integrated public safety radio communication subsystem (ARMER).  The ARMER system is part of the State of Minnesota’s state-wide public safety radio and communications system which is designed to enhance public safety agencies statewide.  The City built a tower in 2012 that was incorporated into the ARMER system.  This agreement sets forth the terms of the city’s on-going participation in the ARMER system.
