CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Northland Constructors of Duluth, LLC for the Kenwood Avenue Mill & Overlay and Lyons Street Realignment Project in the amount of $336,054.86, payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1602, S.A.P. 118-151-013. This project will be reimbursed by Municipal State Aid funds.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the award of a contract for the mill and overlay of Kenwood Avenue from approximately 350 feet north of College Street to approximately 350 feet south of College Street, and the realignment of the western end of Lyons Street to Northland Constructors of Duluth, LLC in the amount of $336,054.86. Northland Constructors was the lowest responsible bidder of the two companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $400,000. This project is payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 1602, S.A.P. 118-151-013, requisition no. 17-0433, to be reimbursed by Municipal State Aid funds.
