CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Utility Systems of America, Inc. for the 2017 BWSR Sediment Reduction Project in the amount of $416,149, payable out of Disaster Recovery Fund 225, Department/Agency 125 (Finance), Division 1807 (Parks, Recreation & Other), Object 5400 (Miscellaneous Repair & Maintenance Services), city project no. 1638.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the award of a contract for the 2017 sediment reduction (drainage improvement) projects at various locations to Utility Systems of America, Inc. in the amount of $416,149. Utility Systems of America, Inc. was the lowest responsible bidder of the four companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $630,000. This project is payable out of Disaster Recovery Fund 225, Department/Agency 125 (Finance), Division 1807 (Parks, Recreation & Other), Object 5400 (Miscellaneous Repair & Maintenance Services), city project no. 1638, requisition no. 17-0278. This project is entirely funded by a flood recovery grant from the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR).
