RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A THREE-YEAR USE AGREEMENT WITH THE CONGDON PARK SOCCER CLUB FOR USE OF OLD MAIN PARK.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a three-year non-exclusive use agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit 1, with the Congdon Park Soccer Club for use of Old Main Park for its youth soccer program.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a three-year agreement with the Congdon Park Soccer Club (“CPSC”) for use of Old Main Park. CPSC operates a youth soccer program that serves kids between the ages of five and twelve and offers teams at the U6, U8, U10, and U12 levels. CPSC may use the Field between August 1 and September 30 during each year of this agreement on an exclusive basis three days per week.
The City will not charge a usage fee in relation to the agreement because the City’s maintenance obligations for Old Main Park are minimal. CPSC is responsible to provide, install, and remove its equipment for its practices and games. In addition, CPSC is responsible to maintain the Old Main Park in a clean and orderly condition and shall pick up all paper, garbage, and other debris generated from its use.
