CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the city of Duluth does hereby accept a $50,000 grant as expressed in the award notification attached hereto as exhibit A, from the Minnesota Community Foundation for the Minnesota Super Bowl Legacy Fund, to be deposited into 452-030-4270 HANDHTAX-1510 (Tourism & Recreational Projects, Finance, Other Grants, Lincoln Park).
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city hereby expresses its appreciation for this gift on behalf of the city and its citizens.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes acceptance of a $50,000 grant from the Minnesota Community Foundation for the Minnesota Super Bowl Legacy Fund. The contribution will be used for implementation of the council approved Lincoln Park Mini-Master Plan, attached hereto as exhibit B. More specifically, grant funds will be used towards the destination playground, nature playscape, picnic areas and pavilions, restoration of the restrooms and event venue, or landscaping and signage.
