CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept a $30,000 donation from the Irving Park Community Club as a match for their neighborhood grant for implementation of phase I of the Irving Park Mini Master Plan, to be deposited into 452-030-4660-HANDHTAX-1527-07 (Tourism & Recreational Projects, Finance, Gifts & Donations, Half & Half Tax Projects, Neighborhood Parks - Irving Park).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes proper city officials to accept a $30,000 donation from the Irving Park Community Club for implementation of phase I of the council approved Irving Park Mini Master Plan. Irving Park Phase I is part of the larger St. Louis River Corridor Initiative, and is supported by $90,000 in half and half tax funds. The scope of the Irving Park Phase I Project includes: site lighting, a new walkway connection through the park, an ADA ramp entrance, relocation of playground and new equipment, landscape trees, a new gathering space near the existing garage, and a porta potty screen and pad.
