CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to accept a grant from the Target Corporation, in the amount of $1,000, said funds to be deposited into Fund No. 110-150-1503-4660 (General Fund, Fire, Life Safety Division), for the purpose of supporting a public safety safe driving campaign.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to authorize accepting a grant in the amount of $1,000 from the Target Corporation to purchase magnetic bumper stickers for a “Pull to the Right for Sirens and Lights” campaign. The magnets will be distributed by Duluth police officers and firefighters at community events. This campaign will remind drivers to safely pull over when emergency traffic approaches.
