CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an amendment to the following city contract numbers: 22977, 23027, 23009 and 22976 substantially the same as the attached Exhibits A, B, C and D, providing for additional grant funding for each sub-recipient and also extending the time of performance to June 30, 2018, funds to be paid from fund no. 268-031-6228-5441 (workforce development, grant division, miscellaneous workforce development grant, other services and charges) in an awarded amount of $50,000 in grant funding.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution authorizes the proper city officials to execute an amendment to each of the agreements with the following grant sub-recipients: SOAR Career Solutions, Community Action Duluth, ISD 709 Adult Basic Education, and the Board of Trustees of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities on behalf of Lake Superior College for additional grant funding and to extend the term of the agreements for provision of employment and training services designed to prepare individuals with skills needed to enter into employment in the healthcare field.
