RESOLVED, that vacant buildings are a threat to public safety.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that Resolution 16-0846, adopting license, permit, fine, penalty and other charges for 2017, be amended to add the following fee:

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution adds an investigation and inspection fee for buildings deemed to be vacant and unregistered. The purpose of the fee is to recoup paid city staff time spent investigating and inspecting vacant buildings that are not registered as required by vacant building registration ordinance.
