CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with LHB, Inc. for professional engineering services to provide design engineering for the East Ninth Street/East Eighth Street reconditioning project in the amount of $72,448, payable from Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 0855, requisition no. 17-0539.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize an agreement with LHB, Inc. for professional engineering services to perform design engineering of East Ninth Street/East Eighth Street reconditioning project from Sixth Avenue East to Woodland Avenue. The city has Federal funds to be used for construction in 2018. This agreement allows the city to enter into an agreement to begin design engineering services for that work. Due to the additional environmental review and complexity of bidding a federally funded project, we request the services of a consultant engineer. The project involves milling of the existing pavement, placement of new bituminous, repair of catch basins, curb, gutter and sidewalks, and bringing pedestrian ramps up to ADA standards.
