CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into an agreement with TRC, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, for damage assessment and reconstruction recommendations related to the October 26th and 27th wind storm for a total amount not to exceed $44,378, payable from fund 110-121-1217-2145-5310 Project: Storm17 (General Fund; Public Administration; Maintenance Operations; Park Maintenance; Contract Services; Storm Surge October 27, 2017).

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with TRC for professional engineering services to provide damage assessment and reconstruction recommendations for an amount not to exceed $44,378.

On October 26th and 27th the city was hit by powerful winds and storm surge that caused extensive damage to the Lakewalk and shoreline. City staff conducted an initial damage assessment and determined that the services of a professional engineering firm with experience in coastal/shoreline engineering would be needed to provide a more detailed damage assessment, to develop scopes of work, and to provide cost estimates for the necessary repairs. This information will be provided to the state to substantiate city requests for reimbursement, and may be used to support additional work phases, including the design and development of biddable construction documents, and construction oversight of necessary repairs at a later date.

The city issued a Request for Proposals on November 3, 2017 and received six proposals in response. The proposals were reviewed by city staff and TRC was determined to be the most qualified. The names of the firms, their final scores...
