RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY TO COMPLETE AN INTERSECTION CONTROL EVALUATION (ICE) STUDY FOR THE INTERSECTION OF JEAN DULUTH ROAD/SNIVELY ROAD (CSAH 57) AND GLENWOOD STREET (MSAS 162) LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY OF DULUTH.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to enter into an agreement with St. Louis County, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A, to complete an intersection control evaluation (ICE) study for the intersection of Jean Duluth Road/Snively Road (CSAH 57) and Glenwood Street (MSAS 162) located within the city of Duluth. The city shall award the contract and perform all contract administration for said project, provided that the total amount authorized does not exceed $25,000, payable from Street Lighting Fund 550, Department/Agency 120 (Public Administration), Object 5319 (Other Professional Services). Within 30 days of certification of final payment, the county will reimburse the city half of the actual final project cost (estimated amount of $12,500) payable to Street Lighting Fund 550, Department/Agency 120 (Public Administration), Object 5319 (Other Professional Services).

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize the city to enter into an agreement with St. Louis County to complete an intersection control evaluation (ICE) study for the intersection of Jean Duluth Road/Snively Road (CSAH 57) and Glenwood Street (MSAS 162) located within the city of Duluth, in an amount not to exceed $25,000. The city of Duluth's portion of the costs will be payable from Street Lighting Fund 550, Department/Agency 120 (Public Administration), Object 5319 (Other Professional Services). The cost of the study will be evenly split, with the county paying 50% and the city paying 50%.
