CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to reinstate, amend and extend an agreement bearing City of Duluth contract number C22416, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, with Foster Jacobs and Johnson, Inc. for design, specifications, construction documents and other services necessary for the construction of a Nordic Ski Trail near Spirit Mountain for an additional $27,480 and a new contract total not to exceed of $60,605, payable from fund no. 452-030-5530 HANDHTAX-1506 (Tourism & Recreational Projects, Finance, Improvements Other than Buildings, Half & Half Tax Projects-Lower Spirit Nordic).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to agreement C22416 with Foster Jacobs and Johnson, Inc. (“FJJ”) for professional design and other additional services necessary for the construction of the Nordic Ski Trail near Spirit Mountain. The original agreement included preliminary design services only. Services provided under this amendment include final design, specifications and construction documents for the lighting, power distribution and snow making systems; as well as pre-bid and post-bid review and support. Upon completion of this work, the City intends to put the project out for bids in March.
