RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A TWO-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH THE HILLS YOUTH AND FAMILY SERVICES TO PROVIDE OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL TIME PROGRAMMING IN THE CENTRAL HILLSIDE NEIGHBORHOOD AT AN ANNUAL COST OF $20,000.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a two-year agreement with The Hills Youth and Family Services to provide outside of school time youth programming in the city’s central hillside neighborhood, substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, with payments of $20,000 per year made from 205-130-1219-5310 (Parks, Community Resources, Parks Operating, Contract Services).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a two-year agreement for professional services with The Hills Youth and Family Services for outside of school youth programming in the city’s central hillside neighborhood at their location at 310 North 1st Avenue West. The agreement can be terminated by either party upon ninety days’ notice. Under the terms of this agreement, The Hills Youth and Family Services will facilitate programming which will provide a safe and structured environment for youth in the central hillside neighborhood. The program will also provide youth with educational opportunities, as well as, development of health and life skills, positive adult role model interaction, and recreation activities. Funds for this agreement are made available from the parks fund.
