CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a two-year agreement with Duluth Community School Collaborative to provide outside of school time youth programming in the East Hillside neighborhood, substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, with payments of $20,000 per year made from 205-130-1219-5310 (Parks, Community Resources, Parks Operating, Contract Services).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a two-year agreement for professional services with Duluth Community School Collaborative for outside of school youth programming in the city’s East Hillside neighborhood at their location at 1027 North 8th Avenue East. The agreement can be terminated by either party upon ninety days’ notice. Under the terms of this agreement, Duluth Community School Collaborative will facilitate programming which will provide a safe and structured environment for youth in the East Hillside neighborhood. The program will also provide youth with educational opportunities, as well as, development of health and life skills, positive adult role model interaction, and recreation activities. Funds for this agreement are made available from the parks fund.
