CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an amendment to the professional services agreement (city contract no. 23384) with BARR Engineering Company substantially in the form of that attached hereto as Exhibit A, increasing the contract amount by $62,500 for a total amount not to exceed $100,000 payable from Fund 255-020-5319.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution will authorize an amendment to the professional services agreement with BARR Engineering Company to increase the “not to exceed” amount by $62,500 for a total not to exceed amount of $100,000. BARR is one of three environmental firms procured by the City to provide environmental services such as Phase I and Phase II reports required for redevelopment projects of the City, DEDA and the private sector. BARR’s services are funded by the City’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 2014 Assessment Grant. Due to two uncommon project assignments that hit the initial $37,500 cap in the first month of 2018, the not to exceed amount needs to be increased.
