RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A $1,489.71 DONATION FROM THE GREATER DOWNTOWN COUNCIL AND THE CANAL PARK BUSINESS ASSOCIATION FOR LAKEWALK REPAIR AND RESTORATION.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized to accept a $1,489.71 donation from the Greater Downtown Council and the Canal Park Business Association for Lakewalk repair and restoration, said funds to be deposited into 110-121-1217-2145-4660-STORM17 (General Fund, Public Administration, Maintenance Operations, Park Maintenance, Gifts and Donations, Storm17).
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city hereby thanks the Greater Downtown Council and the Canal Park Business Association for their donation and continued support.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes acceptance of a donation in the amount of $1,489.71 from the Greater Downtown Council and the Canal Park Business Association. These funds will be used to support necessary repairs to the Lakewalk following the October 27, 2018 storm surge.
The Greater Downtown Council and the Canal Park Business Association raised these funds through two community events on February 1, 2018, both of which were kick-off events to the Cold Front Celebration.
