RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE EXISTING CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF WATER CONVEYANCE SPECIALIST.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proposed amendments to the specifications for the existing civil service classification of water conveyance specialist (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on March 6, 2018, are approved. This classification shall remain subject to the city's collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees and compensated at Pay Range 31, $4,502 to $5,306 per month.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The existing classification of water conveyance specialist was revised to update for current duties performed, update minimum requirements to a more appropriate level, clarify required licensure and properly encompass the scope of equipment utilized. There is no change in the rate of pay, which remains Pay Range 31, $4,502 to $5,306 per month.
