RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A TWO-YEAR NON-EXCLUSIVE USE AGREEMENT WITH THE COLLEGE OF ST. SCHOLASTICA, INC. FOR USE OF WADE STADIUM.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a two-year non-exclusive use agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit 1, with the College of St. Scholastica, Inc. for use of Wade Stadium for its college interscholastic baseball program. Payments received under this agreement shall be deposited into the Special League Fund 210, Agency 030, Organization 3190, Revenue Source 4625-04.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a two-year agreement with the College of St. Scholastica, Inc. (“CSS”) for non-exclusive use of Wade Stadium for its college interscholastic baseball program. CSS has previously used Wade Stadium under an agreement that has now expired.
CSS will have the ability to use Wade Stadium each year under the following schedule:
(1) from the date the City notifies CSS that Wade Stadium is being opened by the City until Memorial Day of each year; and
(2) from the Saturday prior to Labor Day until October 4th.
To avoid conflict with other user groups, the dates and times for all of CSS’s usage of Wade Stadium are scheduled through the City’s Recreational Specialist. CSS will pay the City a fee for every practice, game, and tournament at Wade Stadium based on the then-current, council-approved fee schedule, less a 5% discount.
