Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The City and the Police Lieutenants, represented by Law Enforcement Labor Services (LELS) 363 have been in negotiations for a successor agreement to their current 2015-2017 collective bargaining agreement. The parties tentatively agreed to a 2018-2020 collective bargaining agreement on March 28, 2018, and the LELS membership ratified this 2018-2020 collective bargaining agreement on March 30, 2018. The agreement is a three-year contract with general wage increases of 2.5% in 2018, 2.5% in 2019, and 2.5% in 2020.  Effective January 1, 2019, bargaining unit members will receive a 1% increase in their 24-Hour Duty Allowance, which is compensation for their off-duty law enforcement availability. Effective January 1, 2020, bargaining unit members will receive an additional 0.5% increase in their 24-Hour Duty Allowance.
