RESOLUTION APPROVING SETTLEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $18,000 TO AARON BOLDUC FOR DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, AND ALL OTHER CLAIMS.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the city council approves settlement in the amount of $18,000 of all claims or causes of action asserted by Aaron Bolduc, pursuant to a settlement agreement and further authorizes the proper city officials to take all actions necessary to conclude this matter on a full, final and complete basis; payment to be made from Fund 610-036-1652-5841 (Self Insurance Fund, Insurance Accounts, Insurance/Water and Gas, Liability Claims Expense).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes settlement with Aaron Bolduc against the city arising out of a vehicle accident causing an injury when a city truck rear ended the claimant’s vehicle that occurred on or about June 12th 2012 at or near 40th Avenue East and London Road. The city has fully investigated the negligence and damages claims and defenses asserted in this case. The administration and city attorney recommend approval of this settlement agreement.
