Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: Since 1993 International Migratory Bird Day has become a primary vehicle for focusing public attention on the nearly 350 species that travel between nesting habitats in our communities and throughout North America and their wintering grounds in South and Central American, Mexico, the Caribbean, and the southern U.S.
This resolution is a required action step to Duluth’s designation as a Bird City by the Audubon Minnesota. The Duluth Audubon Society is working towards this designation by completing the steps shown in Attachment 1.
