RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE NEW CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION OF ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST, AND SPECIFYING CONTRACT BENEFITS FOR SAME.

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proposed specifications for the new civil service classification of organizational development specialist (attached as Exhibit A), which were approved by the civil service board on February 7, 2018, are approved; that said classification shall be subject to the city’s collective bargaining agreement with its basic unit employees; and that pay range for said classification shall be Range 135, $4,877 to $5,675 per month. The proper city officials are authorized to execute and implement an agreement with the union to provide for employing one or more unit members consistent with this resolution.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  The new classification of organizational development specialist has been created to provide more specialized support of citywide organizational development. This position will be responsible for developing, evaluating and coordinating organizational development programs across the city with the intent of developing city leadership, employee engagement, culture and operations. The pay range negotiated for the classification is Range 135, $4,877 to $5,675 per month.
