CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to accept a $1,388 donation from the Riverside Community club for Phase I park improvements at Riverside Park, said funds to be deposited into 452-030-4460-HANDHTAX-1527-13 (Tourism & Recreational Projects, Finance, Gifts & Donations, Half & Half Tax Projects, Neighborhood Parks - Riverside Park).
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the city hereby thanks the Riverside Community Club for their donation and continued support.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes acceptance of a donation in the amount of $1,388 from the Riverside Community Club. These funds will support Phase I park improvements at Riverside Park.
Riverside Park is one of thirteen small parks that are slated to be restored as part of the St. Louis River Corridor Initiative with $90,000 of project costs covered by the half and half tourism tax and at least $10,000 contributed by the community via cash donations, in-kind volunteer hours, and in-kind donation of materials. This donation serves as a portion of the match requirement for Riverside Park.
