CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Gardner Builders, LLC, for construction of the Riveness Regulator Station Building in the amount of $160,900, payable out of Gas Fund 520, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital Improvements), Object 5533 (Revenue), city project no. 1702.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the construction of the Riveness Regulator Station Building on Morris Thomas Road by Gardner Builders, LLC in the amount of $160,900. Gardner Builders was the only responsible bidder that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $85,000. Despite the bid being significantly higher than the estimate, award is recommended, as the project will replace an existing facility that is the source of many noise complaints. Payable out of Gas Fund 520, Department/Agency 500 (Public Works & Utilities), Division 1905 (Capital Improvements), Object 5533 (Revenue), city project no. 1702, requisition no. 18-0408.
