CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Northland Constructors of Duluth, LLC for the Ninth Street/Eighth Street Reconditioning project in the amount of $2,019,580.59, payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 0855TR. Funding sources are MSA funds, Federal funds and local funds. Of the project costs, $269,412 will be assessed to benefitting properties.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the Ninth Street/Eighth Street Reconditioning project from Sixth Avenue East to Woodland Avenue by Northland Constructors of Duluth, LLC in the amount of $2,019,580.59. Northland Constructors was the lowest responsible bidder of the two companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $2,363,561. Payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5530 (Improvements Other than Buildings), city project no. 0855TR, requisition no. 18-0090E.
