RESOLUTION APPROVING AN AMENDED FORM OF PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENT.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that pursuant to the provisions of Section 2-29(b) of the Duluth City Code, the city council does hereby approve the form of the project labor agreement attached hereto as Exhibit A for use in implementing the provisions of Section 2-25 and 2-29 of the Code; and
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all prior adopted forms are hereby superseded.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to approve a revised project labor agreement form.
Section 2-25 (b) of the City Code requires the city council to approve the form of the agreement. This is part of the package including amending Article IV of Chapter 2 of the City Code pertaining to PLAs and wages and hours requirements, modification of the city’s business subsidy criteria and amendment to DEDA’s enabling resolution requiring DEDA to implement PLA requirements and wages and hours requirements in its agreements.
