RESOLUTION ADOPTING AMENDED BUSINESS SUBSIDY CRITERIA SUPERSEDING PRIOR CRITERIA.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that, in accordance with the provisions of Minnesota Statutes Section 116J.994 (Subd.2), the city of Duluth hereby adopts the business subsidy criteria attached hereto as Exhibit A as the business subsidy criteria to be used by the city in granting business subsidies to requests for subsidies hereafter.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that all prior business subsidy criteria are hereby superseded.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to adopt a revised business subsidy criteria to govern the granting of business subsidies by the city to business and entities. This is part of the package including amending Article IV of Chapter 2 of the City Code pertaining to PLAs and wages and hours requirements and amendment to DEDA’s enabling resolution requiring DEDA to implement PLA requirements and wages and hours requirements in its agreements.
