RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute a license agreement, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit 1, with Ulland Brothers, Inc., at no cost to the city, for bouldering purposes over the bouldering sites and access paths depicted on Exhibit B to Exhibit 1.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to authorize a license agreement between the City and Ulland Brothers, Inc. (“Ulland Brothers”) to allow for public use of a portion Ulland Brother’s property for bouldering purposes. The license agreement allows provides for access paths to the bouldering sites. The license agreement remains in effect until May 31, 2023 and provides for automatic renewal of successive five-year terms.
Ulland Brother’s property is adjacent to the Magney-Snively Natural Area and existing trails. The bouldering sites have been used informally for years by the climbing community, and this agreement formally provides for such public use. The bouldering sites will be access off of existing or soon-to-be constructed hiking and multi-use trails.
