RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PROPER CITY OFFICIALS TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM THE DULUTH SUPERIOR AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $30,690 TO PROVIDE TRAINING FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL IN THE OPERATION OF THE ALL-HAZARD QUICK RESPONSE VESSEL.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to accept a grant and authorize the execution of a grant agreement, substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A from the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation, in the amount of $30,690, said funds to be deposited in Fund 210, Agency 030, Organization 3148, Revenue Source 4270 (Special Projects Fund, Finance, Quick Response Vessel Grant, Other Grants), and committed for the purpose of providing training associated with the operation of the all-hazard quick response vessel.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the acceptance of a grant in an amount of $30,690 funded by the Anonymous Friend Fund and the Community Opportunity Fund of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation for the purpose of providing training for fire department personnel on the operation of the all-hazard response vessel and establishes a dedicated funding account for the grant as required by GASB Accounting Standard 54.
