RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CITY OFFICIALS TO ENTER INTO A REGION 2 ARROWHEAD REGION EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION HOMELAND SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute the Region 2 Homeland Security and Emergency Management Mutual Aid Agreement, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit A, with the following Minnesota counties: Aitkin, Carlton, Cass, Cook, Crow Wing, Itasca, Kanabec, Koochiching, Lake, Pine and St. Louis; and the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa, Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, and Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe to authorize sharing of Homeland Security and emergency management equipment, personnel, and other resources with other members.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the execution of a mutual aid agreement between the members of the Minnesota Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management Region 2, Arrowhead Region Emergency Management Association, and includes the tribal governments located within the Region 2 geographic boundary.
