CITY PROPOSAL: RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to contract with Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. for the Salt Shed Installation described in Exhibit A at Lund Toolhouse for a total amount not to exceed $298,800.00, payable from fund: 450-030-5520-CP2018-1802B (Capital Improvements; Finance; Buildings and Structures; Lund Toolhouse Improvements)
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with Kraus-Anderson Construction Co. for the Salt Shed Installation at Lund Toolhouse for an amount not to exceed $298,800.00.
The current salt storage shed is at the end of its useful life and is undersized. It is falling apart at the corners and does not properly contain the material (overflowing salt gets washed away with precipitation/runoff). Proper storage will prevent material loss and allow for more efficient operations.
Purchasing issued an Invitation to Bid on June 27, 2018, and received two bids as listed below. Kraus-Anderson submitted the lowest responsive bid.
