CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract with Northland Constructors of Duluth, LLC for the Duluth Seaway Port Authority expansion project at the Clure Public Marine Terminal in the amount of $2,973,994, payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5535 (Non-Capital Improvements), city project no. 1717, S.P. 118-080-063. Funding is entirely from Federal funds and Seaway Port Authority funds, with no city contribution required.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the award of the Duluth Seaway Port Authority expansion project to Northland Constructors of Duluth, LLC in the amount of $2,973,994. Northland Constructors was the lowest responsible bidder of the two companies that responded. The engineer’s estimate was $2,373,859. Payable out of Permanent Improvement Fund 411, Department/Agency 035 (Capital Projects Accounts), Object 5535 (Non-Capital Improvements), city project no. 1717, S.P. 118-080-063. Funding sources are Federal funds and Seaway Port Authority funds.
