CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute the Minnesota snowmobile trails assistance program grant agreement, substantially in the form of that attached as Exhibit A, with the Minnesota department of natural resources for the maintenance of the Duluth snowmobile trails for the 2018-2019 season in the amount of $20,029.85; said funds to be deposited as follows: General Fund 110, Public Administration 121, Maintenance Operations/Park Maintenance 1217-2145, Snowmobile Trail Grants 4226
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution accepts a snowmobile trail maintenance grant from the Minnesota DNR in the amount of $20,029.85. Of this, $8,740.30 will be used for the west snowmobile trail and $11,289.55 will be used for the east snowmobile trail. The actual trail grooming and maintenance will be done by local snowmobile clubs which the city subcontracts with.
