CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to execute an agreement with Bench Strength Partners, Inc. (BSP) substantially in the form of the attached Exhibit A, for professional services to negotiate leases on behalf of the city for cell towers and the installation of small cell communication systems on city property; said compensation payable into fund no. 210-030-3152-4620 (special projects fund, finance, telecommunication infrastructure, telecommunication rental fees) and payments to BSP from fund no. 210-030-3152-5441 (special projects fund, finance, telecommunication infrastructure, other services & charges).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a five-year extension to the City’s current agreement with BSP. Pursuant to the agreement BSP negotiates site placement and rates with cellular carriers for cell towers and small cell communication systems on city owned property. BSP receives a percentage based fee based on the increased revenues generated for the City.
