RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT CONTRACT WITH THE STATE OF MINNESOTA IN THE AMOUNT OF $5,000 TO PURCHASE A FIRE PUMP SLIP-ON UNIT.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to accept a grant contract with the State of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Division of Forestry, Contract No. 144871, substantially in the form of Exhibit A, in an amount not to exceed $5,000, said funds to be deposited in Fund No. 210-030-3200-4220-01 (special projects fund, finance department, wildland fire fund, State of Minnesota), with matching funds in the amount of $5,000 to be provided from Fund No. 110-150-1502-5241 (general fund, fire, fire operations), for the purpose of purchasing a fire pump slip-on unit for wildland fire suppression.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to authorize acceptance of a grant contract with the State of Minnesota DNR Forestry Division to purchase a fire pump slip-on unit which will be utilized for wildland fire suppression (grass fires).
