CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to request and accept from St. Louis County, on behalf of the State of Minnesota, the tax forfeited land described below for road and trail purposes:
Westerly 17 ½ feet of Lot 7, Block 1, CHAMBER'S SECOND DIVISION OF
DULUTH
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute all required documents in connection with the request and acceptance of the property described above and pay all administrative, recording, and all other fees and costs associated with the conveyance(s); payable from Fund No. 110-500-1930-2300-5414 (General, Public Works and Utilities, Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Other Services and Charges).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: The purpose of this resolution is to authorize the request and acceptance of certain tax forfeit land from St. Louis County, on behalf of the State of Minnesota for road and trail purposes.
There is a 17 ½ foot wide lot below the intersection of E. Skyline Parkway and N. 7th Ave. E. that contains an existing sidewalk, utilities, and trail. The acquisition of this parcel will allow the city to own property that it is currently used by the public and maintained by the city.
