WITH CHRISTINE PENNEY FOR GRANT WRITING AND RESEARCH
SERVICES FOR A TOTAL CONTRACT NOT TO EXCEED $60,000.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement,
substantially in the form attached hereto as Exhibit A, for professional grant research and writing
services for 2019 for an amount not to exceed $60,000, payable from 205-130-1219-5319
(Parks Fund; Community Resources; Parks Operating; Other Professional Services).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes a contract with Christine Penney for
professional grant research and writing services through December 31, 2019.
Ms. Penney’s services will include grant research, application, and administration work in
support of park, trail, and green space protection projects across the city with a major focus on
the St. Louis River Corridor. A copy of the consultant’s statement of work for 2019 is included as Exhibit A.
