CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an amendment, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, to agreement 22890 with Ever-Green Energy, Inc. for professional engineering services for the second phase of the Duluth Energy Steam System Conversion Project in 2019; an increase of $568,676 and a new total contract not to exceed $1,756,311, payable from 540-920-1499-5530 (steam, steam department, steam non-operating, improvements other than buildings), city project no. 1525.

 

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to contract 22890 with Ever-Green Energy, Inc. This amendment includes design and construction administration and inspection services necessary for the second phase of the conversion of the existing steam system to the hot water system.

 

Due to the complicated and specialized nature of the project, the city issued a Request for Proposals for professional engineering services and subsequently awarded Ever-Green the project in 2016.
