RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH DULUTH TRANSIT AUTHORITY FOR 2019 IN THE AMOUNT OF $55,000 FOR OPERATION OF THE PORT TOWN TROLLEY.

CITY PROPOSAL:
WHEREAS; the city council approved $55,000 as an operating subsidy for the Port Town Trolley in resolution 18-0807R passed on December 10, 2018 that appropriated the estimated 2019 hotel-motel and food and beverage tourism taxes.
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement, substantially in the form of that attached as Exhibit A, with Duluth Transit Authority in an amount not to exceed $55,000, payable from 258-030-5436-16 (Tourism Taxes Fund, Finance, Tourism Tax Allocations, Duluth Transit Authority).
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with Duluth Transit Authority for 2019 for funding the operation of the Port Town Trolley. This agreement is funded by tourism tax collections.
