RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT WITH ST. LOUIS COUNTY TO CONSTRUCT AND MAINTAIN DECORATIVE STREET LIGHTS ON CSAH 9 (WOODLAND AVENUE).

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into an agreement with St. Louis County, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit A, to construct and maintain decorative street lights on CSAH 9 (Woodland Avenue), as set forth in State Aid Project 069-609-054, city project no. 0940TR.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes the city to enter into an agreement with the county to construct and maintain decorative street lights on CSAH 9 (Woodland Avenue). The agreement contains standard language between the city and the county for construction and maintenance of the lighting system. The county will pay 100% of the construction costs. Upon completion, the city of Duluth will assume ownership of the decorative street lights and will be responsible, at its own expense, for maintenance, repair and replacement of the system as necessary. A second, separate agreement regarding the road and utility portions of the work will be forthcoming.
