RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF DULUTH AND THE MINNESOTA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR STORM SEWER, SANITARY SEWER, WATER MAIN, AND GAS LINE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION UPON, ALONG, AND ADJACENT TO TRUNK HIGHWAY 39 (MCCUEN STREET) WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS UNDER STATE PROJECT 6941-08 AT AN ESTIMATED COST OF $455,333.22.

CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to enter into cooperative construction agreement 1032730 between the city of Duluth and the Minnesota Department of Transportation. This agreement provides for payment by the city to the state of the city's share of the costs of storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, and gas line design and construction upon, along, and adjacent to Trunk Highway 39 (McCuen Street) within the city limits under state project number 6941-08 (city project number 1507) at an estimated cost of $455,333.22.

Gas Fund 520 $ 4,217.40
Sanitary Sewer Fund 530 $ 45,533.32
Storm Water Fund 535 $ 14,418.00
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute the agreement and any amendments to the agreement identified as MnDOT number 1032730.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an agreement with MnDOT to pay the city’s share of the costs as part of MnDOT’s T.H. 39 utility improvement project. This agreement provides for payment of the city’s remaining cost share, to be paid from utility funds.
