CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the city council approves settlement of all claims or causes of action against the city of Duluth in the matter of Jack Levine and Dorothy Levine vs 3M Company, et al., venued in the Minnesota district court, second judicial district court, file no. 62-CV-18-4398, pursuant to the terms and conditions of a Settlement Agreement substantially in the form of that attached hereto as Exhibit A.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to take all actions necessary to conclude this matter on a full, final, and complete basis; payment of $50,000 to be made from Fund 610-036-1664-5841; said funds represent the city’s portion of the total settlement amount.
Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes city officials to implement the Settlement Agreement in Jack Levine and Dorothy Levine vs 3M Company, et al. City administration and the city attorney recommend approval of this settlement agreement.
