RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE TO A FIVE-YEAR MASTER SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH LHB, INC., FOR PROFESSIONAL SURVEY AND FIELD DATA COLLECTION SERVICES FOR A TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $160,000.

Body

CITY PROPOSAL:

RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are hereby authorized to execute an amendment, substantially in the form attached as Exhibit A, to a Master Services Agreement with LHB, Inc., for professional survey and field data collection services needed to support the construction, operation and maintenance of city systems, increasing the annual estimated amounts for years 2019, and 2020 to $50,000 and increasing the total contract to an amount not to exceed to $160,000, payable from various appropriate funds, departments, agencies and objects, Project 1721.

Statement of Purpose

STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:  This resolution increases the five-year master services agreement with LHB, Inc., for professional survey and field data collection services needed to support the construction, operation and maintenance of city systems on a non-exclusive, as-needed basis.

The annual estimated amount for years 2019 and 2020 will be increased from $20,000 to $50,000 per year, increasing the total contract to an amount not to exceed to $160,000.

The Superior Street Reconstruction project has resulted in an increased demand for survey and field data collection services.  LHB has been the lead firm providing these services for the Superior Street project, and it is anticipated that they will continue to do so through the scheduled project completion date of October 2020.

This is a blanket purchase agreement, which does not guarantee that a minimum amount of services will be ordered.
