CITY PROPOSAL:
RESOLVED, that the proper city officials are authorized to execute an amendment with Foster Jacobs and Johnson for additional design and construction administration services for the Grand Avenue Nordic Center ski trail project for an increase of $11,900 and a new total amount not to exceed $72,505, payable from fund 452-030-5530-HANDHTAX-1506 (Tourism & Recreation Projects, Finance, Improvements Other Than Buildings, Half & Half Projects, Nordic-Lower Spirit).

Statement of Purpose
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE: This resolution authorizes an amendment to agreement C22416 with Foster Jacobs and Johnson for additional design and construction administration services for the Grand Avenue Nordic Center ski trail project. Additional services include electrical system design, construction administration services, and post-season adaptations to storm water and snowmaking systems.

This resolution is coming forward several months later than originally planned as a result of legal complications associated with acquisition and renaming of the company.

The overall scope of the Grand Avenue Nordic Center encompasses four sections of trail, as shown in exhibit B. Section one is a 1.5km loop, section two a 1km loop, section three a .8km loop and section four a 1.9km connector trail to the existing upper trail system. Phase I of the project, constructed in 2018, included construction of trail sections one and two, and above ground snowmaking infrastructure on section one.
